Spaghetti and Tomatoes

Yield: 4 servings

1 lb browned ground beef
1/2 of a one pound box spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
1 quart jar diced tomatoes or 1 (28 oz) can
1/2 can (2 oz) black olives, sliced
1 jar sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 green or red pepper, diced
1 tbsp minced garlic
olive oil

garlic powder
italian seasoning
sea salt
black pepper
red pepper flakes, just a pinch (optional)

Cook and drain spaghetti noodles, add back to pot.

Put 2 tbsp olive oil in skillet, saute onion, peppers, mushrooms and minced garlic about 5 minutes.Add ground beef and brown. Drain off the grease and add meat mixture to the pot with noodles.

Add tomatoes with their juice, olives and season to taste with spices. Heat through.

Tip: Freeze leftover black olives. Place in freezer container and cover with the olive juice or water. Use in other dishes like Taco Chili
