Herbal Tea for Lymphedema
 Advocates of herbal medicine advise using herbs to support the standard treatment in cases of Lymphedema. CDT with regular use of compression garments and intake of certain herbal medications will help to bring about the maximum alleviation of the condition. Before using this herbal treatment, talk with your doctor.

Alfalfa and Oatstraw relieve fluid retention and swelling. Nettle contains biologically active compounds that reduce inflammation and Red Clover is a source of many valuable nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and vitamin C.

Organic dried nettles
Organic dried red clover
Organic dried oatstraw
Organic dried alfalfa

Make a mixture of equal parts of the herbs 

Start with a clean, empty quart jar. Put 3 tablespoons of  herb mix  in the jar.

Heat 3 cups distilled water on stove. Pour water into jar with herbs. Cover jar with the lid.

Allow to steep for a minimum of 4 hours to overnight. Once the tea has steeped, strain out plant matter

Store tea in the refrigerator for up to 3 days;  You may drink the tea cold, at room temperature or gently warmed on the stove (do not boil and do not microwave).
